My experience using blogs in the English class

Hi Classmates !

This is my last topic, today I'm going to write about my experience using blogs in the English class. 
I feel it was a good experience working with other learning methodology, something more current , and some didn't know how to use and share ideas and knowledge with others , in this case, classmates.

I think I've developed more tools writing because I practiced increasingly as do sentences or phrases. By the way is a tool that is available to everyone, but I think , for many of us was unknown as to how it was used

Besides, I think that in the future I would like to include more practical conversation and pronunciation, so also more of what we 've done with the blog, such as strengthen the structure of ideas and writing them.

I hope to use this blog I can use it to generate possibilities perhaps with some issues of my interest , as conversations with people who are interested in social issues such as contingency in the Middle East or major topics covered in art and discuss it

And finally I wish that with this experience will be easier to consider the ideas and write them quickly , and that we possibly can , perhaps thereby be exempted from next level of English.

The best concert I've had: Soda Stereo -> Me Verás Volver

Hi Everyone!!!

The topic I write today is about best concert I've had. This concert was when I was 16 years old in ' Estadio Nacional' located in Santiago of Chile.

I went with a friend, wich was classmate too. And the band, we went to see 'Soda Stereo' on tour called 'Me verás Volver'. 

Well, is necessary to say that Soda Stereo was a rock band from Argentina , considered one of the most influential and important Latin American bands of all time.

It was formed in Buenos Aires in 1982 by Gustavo Cerati (vocals, guitar ), Hector 'Zeta' Bosio (bass) and Carlos Alberto Ficicchia 'Charly Alberti' (drums ) .

This is one of my favorite bands and I love Gustavo Cerati songs on his solo career.

The stadium was full of people, all chanted songs, screamed and jumped . The atmosphere of this event was very exciting. 

So that, it's the best concert I've had because it's the first I went. I must also say, after this is the Cat Stevens's concert, in the summer of this year , it was like being in paradise. His voice is impeccable, sings beautifully, although he's already old.

It brings me good memories because my friend and I were in High School, the concert was wonderful and also because, we could hear Gustavo , a milestone today , since he died a few years ago

A country I'd like to visit: Morocco

  Hi Everybody! 

  Today I'm going to write about a country I'd like to visit. Choose only one country, it's very diificult to me! well... I'll try!

This country is Morocco.

  Morocco is a country located in Maghreb in North of Africa . This country is a Constitutional Monarchy , the religion with more followers is Islam. 

This country has been inhabited since at least 8000 B.C.

  I want to visit this country because i love your landscape, which is full of contrasts, your ancentral culture, traditions, crafts, and especially the architectural heritage, the buildings made from hundreds of years ago and made ​​of adobe, in an oasis , surrounded by vegetation as a lost paradise.

  I'd roam the entire country , especially Fez , the city with more pedestrian ways of the world and get to know all the historical monuments that exist there and in the others cities.  And of course go to fairs, the old markets. see how they perform the dye for dyeing leather.

  So I would like to live there for a while, visit all the places to see the special light that are holders and particularly study the light comes in the twilight, besides that, from this country I can visit the Middle East.

My Favourite Artist

Hi Everybody!


Today I want to talk about my favourite artist! It is very difficult to me to pick just one, but anyway I've done. His name is Jean Leon Géròme, he was born in May 11th of 1824, in France.

He was an academic painter and sculptor whose works are usually of historical subject , mythology , Orientalism, portraits and other subjects.

In his work can be seen his laborious, thoughtful, mastery in drawing and color, so his painting has a powerful realization.

I like his realistic style of painting and even more I like the topics addressed , mythology and especially the scenes in the Middle East, are about everyday situations but manages to make special and as the atmosphere fills the picture of a soft golden hue when represents the twilight .

Finally I have to point out that one of his works is called ' Summer afternoon on a lake ' which reminds me of the colors of those summer afternoons of my childhood, with my family when we were doing picnic along the river.

Today I'm going to talk about my favourite website of Art. It is 'La Panera'.

Launched in December 2009 , La Panera , is a free, monthly publication that addresses subjects of art, books , films, music and heritage. This is a monthly publication on paper but also this is on the web.

This day I chose this photo of me to show you, because I really like.

This photo was taken by my mother in June of this year for a family outing.

The place is called 'La Raja de Manquehua', which is located around the city of Salamanca, in northern of Chile.

The photo shows the view that I have of the mountains and the landscape that surrounds it.

I love this city and especially this place, because it is a mystical place.

The sunlight, sound of nature, the smell and the energy that exists there, are very special.

To get to this place you have to follow a path that is on the rise and it has many curves. Besides very extensive.

This place gives birth to a legend, which tells that there, in the ''Midsummer' s day'' a witches' coven is done, and that night the witches are flying over the place.
Also, people say that witches make a bonfire, which is seen from the city!

I hope you have enjoyed some legends of the Chilean countryside, and my photo too!

HI EVERYBODY

  Choose only one favourite song it's so difficult, but I try it.
  Well, my favourite song is ' Beware of darkness' by George Harrison, he wrote this in 1970, when he left The Beatles.

   George was an English musician, composer, singer, etc. His musical style was rock, pop, rock psychedelic, etc

  The first time when I listened this song, I felt so peaceful, George's voice is so inspiring to me and his messages to give hope and love to the world. But also I felt a little nostalgic, because of the way he pronounced the words, which seems me very intense.

  This was a few years ago, when I sought his songs. George and his songs take me back in time, specifically at the time when he wrote this, 1960- 1970. It's like coming to a past life.
 
   I love the meaning of the song's lyrics, it talks about the care of the pain, heartache, sadness and the unconscious suffering that happens around us.

    I heard it all the time in my cellphone because I can travel with it anywhere.
 
 

My Nikon

Hi everybody!

My favourite piece of technology is my new photographic camera Nikon D3200. I got it two weeks ago. Is a semiprofessional and the last weekend i bought a new lens for zoom.

I'm so exciting with my new gift for me, because I was waiting for a thing like this since for a lot of time. Before I had a other camera, it was so basic and its lens was a very small.

I bought it because it gives me the opportunity to keep my travels, memories, experiences with my family, friends and pets.

I use it when I go to my house, in travels with my family or friends, to save memories of my pets.

I usually take photos to my garden, sunset, landscapes, sky, insects, Cordillera de Los Andes, me, etc. pictures that I upload to my favourite social web Instagram.

I use it all of the time when I can, because it's so big and heavy to carry everywhere. 

My life without it will be like blurred memories. Maybe, all of us need material support for that memories do not disappear, the memory is fragile and is in charge of eliminating certain things.

Hi everybody! My subject that I'm doing is painting full all days because the work is a lot and the time is few to finish all my canvas. The end of the academic year is delayed now, because of the students' strike.

My extracurricular activity is a seminary of islamic art, this is so interesting and I learn so much of islamic history and its expansion. Its architecture, language and art were influenced by the 'coran', that's the holy book.

The most of the time, the weekends  I spend it in my house with my family, where I do outdoor activities. And otherwise I do artistic activities like go to the museum, cinema, ballet, opera, etc. or anything else, like to go out with my friends.

I hope, for this academic year to learn sculpture and metal mealting and know my way of painting, which, I think is spot color, that i love it!

My Bio

I was born during the administration of Democratic Transition. In the summer of 1991.

I studied at the Domingo Ortiz de Rozas secondary school in Illapel. And later entered to Universidad Católica del Norte, located at Coquimbo, and now study Visual Arts at Universidad de Chile, since 2013.

My family is formed by my mom, my grand ma, and my aunt. My family is a matriarchy. We have two dogs, Beto and Apolo, and the only one cat, Mota. And i have many cousins, aunts, uncles too.

I like to go out with my friends. Do trekking and ride a bike always in the hill near my house. The whole field is only for me still. The silence and the loneliness are big in this place.

I love painting, listen to music, i like to listen to music in other languages like arabic and french.

And also like watch movies, read books.

I want to travel with my best friend to Peru, in the summer. And i have a big garden in my house, i love flowers, plants and trees.

A bit of me

My name is Madelaine, i live in Santiago, Chile. I study arts at Universidad de Chile.

I love arts, music, books, films and the Middle East culture. My dream is to meet these places, their landscapes, culture, traditions, etc.  I always wish to be in contact with the nature. Feel the smell of the trees, see the stars in the clear sky, and the full moon shining in your eyes, which is possible in the place where i was born.

My hometown is Illapel, this city is located in a small valley, surrounded by the Cordillera de Los Andes. In the north of the country. And also i like to go out to have fun with my friends.
